The Venerable Karen Lund

Born in the suburbs of London, Karen is now Archdeacon of Manchester. Ordained in St Paul’s Cathedral in 1994, she has served most of her ministry in the south as a parish priest. Her ministry has included work as a Prison Chaplain, and she has valued the diversity of working in both urban and rural contexts. Her particular ministerial interests are around issues in mental health and poverty and the place of the church in supporting people in these groups.

In her spare time, she enjoys being creative with colour, walking, nature and fashion. Healthy living in mind, body and spirit and a vegan diet are also important areas in her life.
